Teddy and Danielle (Sandlin)-Herskovits sent us this email:
“Teddy and I met in June of 2011, when we found ourselves attached to VP-46 in Whidbey Island, Washington at the same time. What started as an amazing and unexpected fast friendship bloomed into an even more remarkable relationship and marriage in 2013, sharing a love for Aviation just makes it that much better!
I served in the Navy from 2005-2012 as an Aviation Structural Mechanic – Safety Equipment (AME) before getting out and pursuing an Associates Degree in Aeronautics and a Bachelors Degree in Aviation Security. Currently I am a stay-at-home Mom to our 1-year-old daughter Atlas and our 15-year-old daughter Kylee.
Teddy served in the Navy from 2008-2014 as an Airframer (AM) before getting out, achieving his Private Pilot’s license and his A&P License, which he now utilizes as the Lead Mechanic for Mountain Air Cargo in Statesville, NC.
We decided to renew our wedding vows on Veteran’s Day, 11-11-2023 after a decade of being married. The Hickory Aviation Museum graciously allowed us to do our “first look” photographs at the museum in front of the plane that brought us together, the P-3 Orion. We are so thankful for the time they allowed us to have and can’t wait to visit again soon!”
HAM was happy to be included in your special day. We can accommodate a lot of different requests; all you have to do is ask!
The Orion is on loan to HAM from National Naval Aviation Museum located at NAS Pensacola, Florida. It is open to tour six days a week during museum hours, weather permitting.
